Forms for Reporting Caves & Other Useful Info

  1. GSS Electronic Report Form for turning in new caves or karst features and updating information about existing caves to the GSS Cave Listing This form allows the user to fill out the form quickly in Adobe Acrobat Reader using pop-up menus and then save and email the form. The form can then be easily imported into the GSS database for the GSS Cave Listing. The form is not appropriate for filling out by hand due to the pop-up menus, use the older form below.

  2. GSS Cave Report Form for turning in new caves or karst features and updating information about existing caves to the GSS Cave Listing. This form can be printed out and filled out by hand.

  3. GSS Cave Location Correction Form for turning in updates to cave locations (this is an electronic online form, not a pdf)

  4. Cave Owner Form for turning in information about landowner of caves (SCCi owned caves, caves on the Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area, and caves in Johnson's Crook have already been reported)

  5. GSS Data Listing Key describes the fields used on the GSS Cave Report Form and for interpreting GSS Cave Listing.

  8. Georgia Topo Map Finder is an Microsoft Excel worksheet for which one can enter a Georgia cave location and it will return the name of the USGS 7.5 minute topographic map and the topographic map code used by the GSS on the GSS Cave Report Form.

  9. Lat/Long Ruler for plotting and measuring latitude and longitude on 7.5 minute topographic maps.
